Igor Nikitin, the TBN-Russia president met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Ilkka Kanerva during his official visit to Finland.

Ilkka Kanerva, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland postponed number of meetings with representatives of other countries and showed high hospitality to TBN-Russia. He advised everyone to watch TBN-Russia channel. Today through cable networks TBN-Russia covers 90% of Finland territory.

During the meeting they discussed Christian ministries cooperation between Russia and Finland and also touched upon Eurovision festival. The minister greeted Igor Nikitin with a group of Russian children in the Parliament, who were invited to participate in a children Christian TV program as a result of TV exchange between TBN-Russia and TV7, Finland.

The Minister confirmed that many Russian-speakers live in Finland and stressed importance of good neighboring relations between Russia and Finland.  This determines that people need Russian-speaking spiritual and educational TV channel, when viewers can get information in their native language.

Ilkka Kanerva also marked the value of social work of TBN and its social and charity projects, such as “Angel Christmas Tree”.

“This is what our children need. It is a wonderful goal – to support and to help those who live without parents and bring salvation to them. That is why everyone would like to have TBN channel”, - said Ilkka Kanerva.

In conclusion of the meeting he addressed his words to the viewers of TBN-Russia channel, “Always remember that here in Finland there are many of your friends!”.
